Public Records

Make a Public Record Request: please email our Records Officer, Stephanie Brackin or call 802-828-4872.

The department's records officer serves as the initial point of contact for individuals making public records requests. The department follows the Vermont Public Records Act and provides access to public records for inspection and copying unless the records are exempt by law from public access. The procedure for requesting a public record is set forth in 1 VSA § 318. There may be a fee for records, in some instances, in accordance with 1 VSA § 316. The Records Officer will communicate and coordinate with the requestor on all aspects of the public record request.
